Possibly up for sale for the first time is this set of uncut bottle labels dated 4/23/1959 with their corresponding neck labels, and a bottle from the same time. The labels are shiny red, blue, and gold still— and embossed! There are several tears and a few folds from being stored over half a century, but they will still display beautifully! Lone Star Beer won the Brewers Association of America Gold Medal in 1957, and the bottle reflects that year, which means it was probably sold late ‘57 or ‘58. The neck labels, presumingly in an attempt to keep that gold medal more evergreen and relevant, leave off the year, as you can see since these would have been sold in late ‘59.
