Lone Star Landmark Billfold / Passcase
Hoo boay—Never seen another one of these! I love how the Lone Star lines up with the spine. There is some minor discoloration (if you’re looking for it) with the clear plastic insert, but the wallet is in grear structural condition. Best guess is that this is from the later 50’s or early 60’s as the patent was filed in ‘54 and granted in ‘56 but expired/ran out in ‘72. There is not the larger back pocket you typically see with wallets like this, but rather two pockets located in the outer two panels/thirds of the wallet. The middle one has its original Identification Card waiting to be filled out. If I were to use it, I’d put cash on the left, cards on the right, and pictures/membership cards in the middle. Yes, pictures! You can fit 17 of them in the accordion style center insert if you wish! So why don’tcha just print off your favorite Instagrams and save the data for the conspiracy videos your mom or dad watches on Facebook. Shiny gold lettering which says “Lone Star Brewing Co., America’s Certified Quality Beer, San Antonio, Texas”. A very cool and rare treasure I’ve been holding onto for a while, and one I hate to see go—and I’ve priced it as so.
